Office Angels is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy finance team on the outskirts of Basingstoke. This ongoing temporary role offers an immediate start, with £16.00-£18.00 per hour and requires own transport due to location.

Candidates should have prior Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience, strong attention to detail, and good Excel skills. Driving licence and own transport are essential, as public transport is limited.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position.
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport essential.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Managing supplier queries via phone and email
• Preparing payment runs
• Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining supplier records
• Assisting with month-end processes as required
• Allocating payments and credit notes
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
