Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Doncaster is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support the finance function, with an emphasis on purchase ledger, credit control and general finance administration. You will work closely with colleagues across the business, building strong relationships with suppliers and customers, and ensuring timely supplier payments and accurate ledgers.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchase ledger or transactional accounts is desirable.
• Proficient with accounting software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Processing, coding and matching purchase invoices
• Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing supplier payment runs
• Responding to supplier queries and maintaining good supplier relationships
• Monitoring outstanding customer accounts
• Assisting with credit control and following up overdue invoices
• Allocating payments and keeping customer accounts up to date
• Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts administration
• Assisting with month-end activities and reconciliations
• Providing support on other finance-related tasks as required
