Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy finance team at the headquarters on the outskirts of Redruth.

This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, technology-driven finance function across the UK. Core duties include handling supplier enquiries, managing the purchase order system, VAT-compliant invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations and month-end support.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of recent experience in a modern finance function.
• AAT qualification or suitable vocational experience considered.
• Candidate should be highly numerate with strong attention to detail and quick to learn new skills.
• Sound IT skills with experience using digital accounting packages and/or MS Excel is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as initial point of contact for supplier enquiries and liaise with colleagues to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor the accounts payable email addresses.
• Administer the purchase order system.
• Create and locate invoices, ensuring correct VAT status and coding.
• Reconcile supplier statements and ensure timely payment authorisation of invoices.
• Assist with month-end procedures and AP system process improvements.
• Support the Financial Controller with ongoing accounting projects.
