Job description

Our exclusive client, based in Chorley, is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team. You will be one of two team members within the purchase ledger department, ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed timescales. AAT study support will be offered if the candidate is interested.

Duties include:
  1. Maintaining all aspects of the purchase ledger and liaising with suppliers.
  2. Ensuring correct authorisation and coding of purchase invoices.
  3. Reconciling supplier statements.
  4. Ensuring suppliers are paid according to agreed terms.
  5. Processing employee expenses.
  6. Managing weekly payment runs, month-end reports, and CIS statements.
  7. Performing any additional duties required within the team.

Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience working within a finance team, preferably in purchase ledger. You should be a confident communicator, accurate, and have a friendly approach to work.
