Stoke BMW

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00

Salary: £23,100 - £26,250 per annum (depending on experience)

We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk due to an internal promotion. Based at Lookers Stoke BMW, this role offers an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team. You will report directly to the Market Area Accountant and handle all aspects of Purchase Ledger for our Stoke dealerships within the Group.

Our Purchase Ledger Clerks are vital to our Accounting department; they ensure timely processing of essential documentation. Building strong relationships with internal management and external customers, working efficiently while maintaining accuracy, is crucial.

  • Registering and passing invoices
  • Maintaining accounts and reviewing POAs
  • Managing the company's purchase ledger
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and statements, processing payments
  • Ensuring all documents are processed accurately and on time
  • Liaising with management and customers
  • Assisting with month-end purchase ledger closeout

The ideal candidate will have experience in Purchase Ledger or an Accounts department, with excellent computer literacy. Motor industry experience is a plus but not essential.

You should have strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities to build lasting relationships and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
