Stoke BMW

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00

Salary: £23,100 - £26,250 per annum (depending on experience)

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk based at Lookers Stoke BMW. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our friendly team. You will report directly to our Market Area Accountant and will handle all aspects of Purchase Ledger for our Stoke dealerships within the Group.

Our Purchase Ledger Clerks are vital within our Accounting department; they ensure that essential documentation is processed promptly. Building strong, lasting relationships with internal management and external customers is crucial, as is working efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

• Registering and passing invoices
• Maintaining accounts and reviewing POAs
• Managing the company's purchase ledger
• Reconciling supplier accounts and statements, and processing payments
• Ensuring all documents are processed accurately and on time
• Liaising with management and customers
• Assisting with the month-end purchase ledger close-down

The ideal candidate will have experience in Purchase Ledger or an Accounts department and possess excellent computer skills. Experience within the motor industry is desirable but not essential.

You should have strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues. The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines is also important.
