Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk and seeking an exciting new opportunity? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

JOB TITLE: Purchase Ledger Clerk


CONTRACT: Permanent


HOURS: 40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday


START: ASAP


SALARY: Up to £28,500 depending on experience


LOCATION: Poole


CULTURE: Supportive and friendly, busy team!


The role:


  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Resolve discrepancies and queries related to invoices and payments.
  • Prepare payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage aged creditor reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.

What You'll Bring:


  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
