Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Purchase Ledger roles is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly on the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, batch, and register invoices and credit notes daily.
  • Authorize invoices for payment.
  • Address supplier queries regarding delivery and pricing issues.
  • Assist in preparing weekly supplier payments.
  • Maintain and balance the Batch Book.

About The Role

We have an exciting position for a Purchase Ledger Clerk in our busy Accounts department.

Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Sorting, batching, and registering invoices and credit notes daily
  • Passing invoices for authorization
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers, including delivery and pricing issues, prior to posting invoices to the ledger
  • Assisting in preparing weekly supplier payments
  • Inputting data onto spreadsheets
  • Maintaining and balancing the Batch Book

To succeed in this role, you should have previous Purchase Ledger experience, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and an excellent telephone manner.
