Purchase Ledger Clerk

Rate: 13.39 per hour

Role Type: Temporary (maternity cover)

Location: Mold

Hours: Full-time or part-time available

The Role

We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a small, friendly team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the company's purchase ledger
  • Match purchase invoices to relevant stock purchase orders in the system
  • Process purchase invoices and credit notes with correct nominal codes
  • Handle purchase invoice queries by contacting suppliers via phone or email
  • Check supplier statements and cross-reference with internal systems
  • Reconcile cashbooks with bank statements and investigate discrepancies
  • Add new suppliers into the system
  • Calculate VAT payments and ensure VAT is correctly allocated from invoices
  • Prepare weekly and monthly pay runs in GBP, EUR, and USD
  • Manage the accounts email inbox
  • Perform general office duties to support the team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a purchase ledger role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in IT and experience with Sage 200
