Accounts Payable Clerk

A leading, well-established, and growing building firm based in the heart of Altrincham, South Manchester, near tram, train, and bus routes, is seeking a proven Accounts Payable Clerk to join their expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional, proactive, motivated, and forward-thinking individual to support a fast-paced and friendly environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Process purchase invoices ensuring timely and accurate payments by inputting invoices onto the purchase ledger after obtaining appropriate authorisation.
  2. Reconcile all supplier accounts fully, including supplier statements where possible.
  3. Respond professionally and promptly to queries from colleagues or external suppliers.
  4. Assist management with analysis, nominal ledger work, or reconciliations.
  5. Support surveying and procurement teams with cost and payment disputes or queries.
  6. Proactively manage outstanding purchase orders to close or process as required.
  7. Review invoices on hold regularly and establish next steps to resolve issues.
