Job description

Agility Resourcing is proud to be recruiting for a well-known manufacturer in Bury. They are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a likable personality, who can work well within a team. As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report to and work closely with the Management Accountant. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that invoices are entered correctly each month.

Candidate Profile

This role is suitable for a graduate with a strong numerical background.

Responsibilities
  1. Processing goods received notes and entering purchase order invoices
  2. Reconciling weekly bank statements
  3. Scanning, matching, and entering purchase order invoices
  4. Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  5. Downloading monthly Barclaycard statements
  6. Scanning and entering purchase expense invoices, ensuring correct coding
  7. Reconciliation of supplier statements
  8. Supporting the finance team to ensure all finance tasks are completed
  9. Performing other ad hoc duties as required
Person Specification
  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  2. Ability to work to deadlines
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  5. Ability to manage a busy workload independently
  6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
