Tailored Search Recruitment Limited in Birmingham is partnering with a high-growth business to appoint a Purchase Ledger Manager who will lead a small team and shape the AP function during a transformation.

You will own the purchase ledger, drive improvements, manage supplier relationships, and support month-end activities, with hybrid work including three days in the Birmingham office.

• Experience leading a small AP team.
• Strong understanding of PO and AP processes.
• Ability to drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of three Purchase Ledger Clerks
• Oversee the full purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Drive improvements across systems, controls and workflows
• Build strong supplier relationships and resolve queries promptly
• Support month-end activities including reconciliations and reporting
• Partner with the wider finance team during a period of transformation

About You

• Strong background in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team
• Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
• Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
