A leading council is seeking a dedicated individual to support primary and secondary school children facing social, emotional, and communication challenges. This role involves working collaboratively with educational providers to foster an inclusive environment, promoting resilience and independence through targeted support and group activities. The ideal candidate will possess experience in this field, be adaptable, and demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. This temporary position offers a competitive salary and is fundamental in making a positive impact on children's lives.
To work directly with primary and secondary school aged children and young people who display social, emotional, behavioural and communication needs. To work with education providers and partners to promote inclusive practice and autism friendly learning environments. Through a focus on health and wellbeing you will support a nurturing, restorative, solution focussed environment where children and young people work towards positive social, emotional and behavioural self-management and sensory response using known strategies and approaches. You will work with colleagues to establish trusting and empowering relationships with children and young people to promote independence, resilience, and re-engagement with learning. You will support the planning and will deliver targeted and time limited individual and small group work programmes to meet identified priorities for children and young people.

Starting Salary: £27,994 (pro rata)
£14.55 per hour
36.25 hours per week (term time only)
