A local government authority in Scotland is seeking a highly motivated pupil support worker for their nursery team. This role involves providing quality interactions and learning experiences for children aged 2-5, with a focus on individual needs. Candidates must register with the SSSC within six months and have the ability to work flexibly within opening hours. 32 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Fixed term until 13 April 2026
Shift rota Monday- Thursday between the hours 7.45-6.20.

Croftmalloch is located within the village of Whitburn and serves the local community. The setting accommodates am, pm, and full-day learners aged between two and five. It features spacious learning areas and extensive outdoor, forest, and garden spaces. The setting operates 50 weeks per year, with staff working flexibly across opening hours.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated pupil support worker to join our Nursery team. The successful candidate will work within a forward-thinking team, applying a sound knowledge of child development to respond to each child's individual needs, providing high-quality interactions and learning experiences.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the start date to register with the SSSC. Applications must be submitted within three months of employment start date. If already registered with the SSSC, you will need to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This role is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before a formal offer of employment is made by West Lothian Council.
