Job summary

Holy Trinity CofE School in Woking is seeking a dedicated Pupil Support & Play Leader to assist in mornings only. The role covers 20.25 hours per week, with fixed morning slots and a lunchtime Play Leader duty on specified days.

The successful candidate will support Early Years pupils, have good phonics and early literacy skills, and demonstrate calm, proactive, and caring communication with children. Training and a supportive school environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent spoken English required.
• Experience of working with pupils in the Early Years.
• Good knowledge of phonics and early reading, writing and maths.
• Kind, calm and caring manner with proactivity and flexibility.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience of working with children.
• Confidence to support children in learning and emotional literacy.
• Team player with competent IT skills.
• Commitment to professional conduct.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in their learning and emotional literacy.
• Provide a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Assist with lunchtime activities as a Play Leader.
• Work as part of a team to maintain high standards of pupil support.
• Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents when appropriate.
