Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional
We are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic individual to join our pupil support team as a Pupil Support Officer. The role involves supporting assessment, planning, and direct support for children, young people, and their families, focusing on relationships and emotional health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will work with individuals and groups across all stages to promote inclusion, especially for our most vulnerable learners. Essential skills include effective co-regulation, de-escalation, and attunement. Developing play-based approaches indoors and outdoors to motivate and engage learners is a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate must hold SVQ 3 or equivalent in relevant subjects.
This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will also be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
