Pupil Support Assistant (Wellbeing Hub)
Tynecastle High School (Permanent)

Salary: £24,909-£25,116 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Tynecastle High School is a six-year comprehensive secondary school serving west-central Edinburgh for over 100 years. The school moved to a new site in January 2010 and offers excellent educational facilities. It is well-integrated into its local communities, with students from Balgreen, Craiglockhart, Dalry, and Stenhouse Primary Schools. The current school roll is around 850.

The school offers a broad curriculum and prepares students for SQA exams at all levels. There is a strong sense of pride among students, staff, and parents.

A range of strategies supports the successful integration of pupils with diverse needs and abilities. The school has a strong record of supporting students into the workforce and university courses across the UK. Staff know their students well, prioritizing pastoral care and student welfare. The environment is welcoming, with respectful relationships fostering purposeful learning.

This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent over 3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
