Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking two Pupil Support Assistants at Frogston Primary School on a fixed-term basis until 29 June 2027. The role supports pupils with additional support needs to access education and meet their care and wellbeing needs.

You will join the Pupil Support Team, working flexibly under school leadership to contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. PVG checks apply; unconditional offers depend on pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with children under the PVG Scheme; checks required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required after UK travel in the last 5 years.
• Unconditional offer is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional support needs to access education.
• Provide care and wellbeing support and assist in daily school operations.
• Work as part of the Pupil Support Team under school leadership.
• Support may include managing social, emotional and behavioural needs.
