Echline Primary School invites applications for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our attentive school team. The role focuses on supporting pupils, including those with barriers to learning and Additional Support Needs, to access learning and wellbeing activities.

Hours are 26 per week across 39 weeks, with a pro rata salary of £26,806–£27,032. The post requires PVG checks and safeguarding compliance; an inclusive, collaborative approach is essential.

Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 26 per week, 39 weeks sessional

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Pupil Support Assistants to work collaboratively as a member of our school team. This role is central to ensuring that the educational and wellbeing needs of pupils, particularly those with barriers to learning and Additional Support Needs are met and fully included in the life of the school. Applications from candidates with previous experience providing one- to -one pupil support and assisting in the delivery of differentiated learning activities are particularly encouraged.

Working hours are:

• Monday - Thursday 8.50 am to 3.15 pm


• Friday 8.50 am to 12.25 pm

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
