About the role

Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Teaching Assistant

Wakefield

£90 - £115 Per Day Inclusive of Holiday Pay

Immediate Start, Temporary

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent experience obtained within the last 2 years, working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. References from these roles are required.

The Role

Seeking additional PRU Teaching Assistants for specialist provisions supporting children with additional needs such as Challenging Behaviour, ASD, PMLD, MLD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Work involves supporting groups and 1:1 with pupils of various ages and learning levels.

Your daily routine involves adapting and working alongside pupils to make their school experience beneficial and productive, focusing on support and emotional well-being.

Key qualities include a nurturing, patient, and empathetic attitude.
