Job summary

The Avenue Primary School and Children's Centre in Warminster invites applications for a Pupil and Parent Support Assistant. You will support pupils and families, lead Early Help, assist safeguarding as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, and liaise with Wiltshire Council and external agencies.

You will promote attendance, inclusion and family wellbeing. You will provide emotional and practical support to children and parents, with a focus on military families, record keeping and collaboration

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting children and families is advantageous.
• Knowledge of military life or willingness to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies.
• Flexible, self-motivated and supportive.

Responsibilities

• Lead Early Help and support safeguarding as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Liaise with Wiltshire Council and external agencies, manage referrals and attend meetings.
• Provide emotional and practical support to children and parents, promote attendance and inclusion.
• Offer targeted support to military families experiencing deployment and transition.
• Maintain positive links with the military community and accurate records.
