Job summary

LJ Recruitment Limited invites applications from an experienced Pump or Mechanical Engineer for a hands-on role involving service, maintenance, overhaul and repair of pumps, motors and rotating equipment across the local area (within ~50 miles).

You will replace bearings, seals and complete units, fault-find mechanical and electrical systems, and work with customers and site representatives. Overtime and call-outs are paid at premium rates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' pump overhaul experience.
• 5+ years' motor overhaul experience.
• Good knowledge of pumps, motors, inverters and electrical systems.
• Understanding of electrical panels and controls.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable travelling locally and working on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and overhaul pumps, motors, fans and rotating equipment.
• Replace bearings, mechanical seals and complete units.
• Maintain sewage pumping stations and associated equipment.
• Fault-find on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Work directly with customers and site representatives.
• Occasional working at height and in confined spaces, training provided for this.
• Overtime and call-out available at premium rates.
