This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently and professionally with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out PPM visits and remedial/repair works
- Full mechanical and electrical installations (pipework, valves, pumps, controls)
- Commissioning of new systems
- Attending reactive and breakdown maintenance
- Loading/unloading plant and equipment at head office and on site
- Scheduled call-out rota duties
- Managing parts and spares in company van
- Adhering to company and client site health and safety procedures
- Attending occasional engineers' meetings
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service or maintenance engineer/technician, ideally with pump systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for fault finding
- Multi-skilled in both mechanical and electrical engineering
- Full and valid driving licence (essential)
- Flexibility to work occasional nights away and participate in call-out rota
- Professional communication skills with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
