Job summary

United Rentals Europe is seeking a Pump Engineer to service and support our fleet of fluid transfer pumps. You will perform mechanical servicing and fault finding, deliver and install pumps at customer sites, and hand over equipment with usage guidance.

A technical maintenance background, and a valid Driving license B are required. Flexible hours with potential weekend work, on-call duties, and occasional overnight trips are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience with fluid transfer products (diesel, electric, air driven).
• Technical background in electrical and mechanical maintenance is essential.
• Experience with plant and equipment hire business is desirable.
• Willingness to participate in on-call system and occasional overnight trips.
• Driving license B is essential.
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical servicing and fault finding on pumps (diesel, electric, air driven).
• Deliver and install/de-install pumps, filtration equipment, and tanks at customer sites.
• Hand over equipment to customers and instruct on correct usage.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on rental equipment.
• Provide guidance to other operations team members.
• Monitor parts inventory and maintain minimum stock levels.
