Job summary

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a specialist engineering and maintenance business to recruit a Pump Engineer in Maidstone and surrounding areas. You will service, maintain and repair pumping equipment across customer sites, with a focus on wastewater and surface water systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with pumps, pumping equipment or related mechanical/electrical systems.
• Previous pump engineering or maintenance experience.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and travel locally.

Responsibilities

Pump Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of an established specialist engineering and maintenance business looking to add an experienced Pump Engineer to its field-based team.

The company provides a range of engineering, maintenance and infrastructure services to commercial and domestic customers across the region and has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable technical support.

The Role

As a Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of pumping equipment across customer sites.

• Servicing and maintaining pumps and associated equipment
• Working on wastewater and surface water pumping systems
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Inspecting equipment and associated infrastructure
• Attending breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
• Identifying faults and completing repairs efficiently
• Working independently across customer sites
• Completing work safely and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with previous experience working with pumps, pumping equipment or associated mechanical and electrical systems.

• Previous pump engineering or maintenance experience
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience within a field service or maintenance environment
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
• Flexibility to travel throughout the local region
• Full UK driving licence
