Job summary

Owen Daniels in London is seeking a skilled Pump Engineer to service, maintain and repair wastewater pump systems across the London area. The role covers on-site work, fault finding, commissioning and breakdown support. You will work Monday to Friday, around 40 hours per week, with opportunities to take part in planned maintenance and site safety compliance. A driving licence and good English are essential; electrical qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in pump engineering or similar role.
• Experience with wastewater pump systems and centrifugal pumps.
• Electrical qualifications are desirable.
• Apprentice-trained with electrical bias preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will carry out a full range of on‑site repairs, maintenance, commissioning and fault finding on centrifugal wastewater pumps and pump systems.

Role Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair wastewater pump systems
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on pump installations.
• Commission new pumps and pumping stations.
• Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment reliability.
• Complete service reports and related documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and industry regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing on-site.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Pump Engineer or similar role.
• Experience working on wastewater pump systems and centrifugal pumps.
• Electrical qualifications are highly desirable.
• Ideally apprentice-trained with an electrical bias.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication skills and a good standard of English
