Job summary

Travail Employment Group is assisting a client in Coleford, Gloucestershire to recruit a permanent Mechanical Fitter / Assembler. Working 37.5 hours, 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm, Monday to Friday, offering circa £34,000 plus 33 days holiday, uniform, onsite parking and a pension.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble components, use various tools and operate overhead cranes while working with a small team. Applicants should have prior experience in a similar environment and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Reads from engineering drawings.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Able to work 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build products from engineering drawings.
• Use power and hand tools.
• Raise assembly issues with QA Engineer and Supervisor.
• Fill in production data books with project information.
• Complete quality sheets.
• Comply with health, safety and COSHH rules.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Work as part of a team.
