Are you interested in Pulsed Power? Would you like to work with a team of like-minded individuals to investigate the next generation of technology to improve modelling and research experiments at AWE? AWE is looking for Physicists or Electrical/Electronic Engineers who want to step into this field of work with AWE and lead the design of the next generation of Pulsed Power Systems.
AWE is looking for Scientists or Electrical/Electronic Engineers who have an interest in or would like to develop more knowledge into our Pulsed Power team. This role will give the successful candidate the career progression and opportunity to become a subject matter expert within a technical team that designs, constructs and commissions systems generating multi-terawatt pulses of RF electromagnetic power and their application in producing radiation bursts. This is a great opportunity to be involved in unique scientific research which underpins the safety and performance of our defence programmes.
This role also comes with exciting opportunities to travel to the US, France and within the UK to represent the business.

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
