Job summary: This is an exciting secondment opportunity to work within the CHFT multi-disciplinary specialist respiratory team. The post holder will take the lead on attaining accreditation for the pulmonary rehabilitation service working alongside the existing clinical lead physiotherapist.

The team delivers a community pulmonary rehabilitation service that supports and promotes optimal self-care. This service may be delivered to a cohort in a class setting, individually tailored home-based rehabilitation as part of a supported discharge pathway, or virtually using digital and remote platforms.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service Accreditation Scheme (PRSAS) is run by the Royal College of Physicians. The aim of the programme is to improve the quality of pulmonary rehabilitation across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a change agent and innovator, planning, instigating, and evaluating change in line with the pulmonary rehabilitation accreditation standards.
  • Promote the provision of pulmonary rehabilitation across Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and GP practices within Calderdale.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships, partnerships, and networks to influence and improve health outcomes and health delivery systems.
  • Contribute to measuring the effectiveness and productivity of pulmonary rehabilitations services provided through the collection and correlation of data for the team annual report and making recommendations.
Requirements
  • Physiotherapy Degree
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Highly Specialist level of knowledge and clinical reasoning skills to support expert clinical practice in Pulmonary rehabilitation.
