Job summary

HarperCollins in London is seeking a Production Controller for Collins on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will work within the Group Production team to manage frontlist, reprints and special sale titles, ensuring production within budget, quality and lead times.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will negotiate costs, manage schedules, liaise with print and freight suppliers, and support the team to meet deadlines across multiple titles while maintaining accuracy and compliance with

Qualifications

• Book production experience and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Strong numerical and cost-control abilities.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce titles within budget, cost estimation and invoicing.
• Run costings and present accurate final costs.
• Manage schedules from costing to delivery and coordinate stakeholders.
• Oversee special sales, pricing, file approvals through to shipping.
• Collaborate with print and freight suppliers across regions.
• Liaise with warehouse staff on stock issues and release dates.
• Maintain production records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
