Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Publishing and Content Engineer to help shape the future of content delivery across our products and platforms. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the validation, transformation, and quality control processes that ensure publishing and content data meets the highest standards. Your work will enable the efficient creation, delivery, and reuse of content, supporting both established publishing programmes and innovative new digital products.

Working closely with Data Architects, suppliers, system specialists, and business stakeholders, you'll analyse publishing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop technical solutions that drive efficiency and quality. You'll create and maintain transformation scripts, support XML and digital publishing processes, implement semantic metadata and AI-driven solutions, and act as an escalation point for complex content data issues. From troubleshooting data challenges to supporting new functionality releases, you'll play a vital role in ensuring content moves seamlessly through the publishing lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded problem-solver who enjoys turning complex data challenges into practical business solutions. You'll have the chance to influence data governance, improve content quality and discoverability, and help deliver products to market more efficiently. If you're motivated by continuous improvement, enjoy collaborating across diverse teams, and want to make a tangible impact on the future of digital publishing, we'd love to hear from you.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
