Kent County Council's Public Transport department is seeking a Public Transport Inspector on a term-time basis, working 20 hours per week (760 hours annually). You will monitor contracted transport services, visit schools and other locations across the county, and report on compliance with regulatory obligations.

You must be literate, numerate and highly organised, able to work with minimal supervision, and hold a Full UK driving licence.

• Must be able to read and understand documentation and report findings accurately.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to travel to multiple locations across the county, including schools, during term-time.

Mansioni

• Monitor contracted client transport services at schools and other locations.
• Identify areas of concern or non-compliance with contractual/regulatory obligations.
• Prepare reports and liaise with office-based staff to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Attend inspections across multiple establishments, often during school start/end times.
