Job summary

Portfolio Procurement is seeking a procurement professional to lead end-to-end procurement and contract management for tenders. You will manage spend sub-categories, drive category strategies, and support transformation within the procurement function.

Ideal candidates will have CIPS MCIPS or equivalent, strong supplier management knowledge, and a track record of delivering TCO savings and compliant public procurement practices.

Qualifications

• CIPS MCIPS or equivalent qualification or experience preferred.
• Understanding of supplier management.
• Proven experience delivering total cost of ownership savings.
• Experience delivering category and sourcing strategies across sub-categories.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Knowledge of public procurement regulations and processes (e.g. Procurement Act 2023, PCR2015, Health and Care Act 2022 Provider Selection Regime).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement and contract management activities for tenders and related contracts.
• Manage sub-categories of spend and support best practice for your area.
• Implement category strategy through proactive stakeholder and cross-team projects.
• Deliver robust processes and plans and help implement procurement processes.
• Support change within your category and the wider procurement transformation.
• Provide procurement and commercial advice on projects and contracts within your category.
• Manage risk and ensure supply base performance aligns with contract terms.
• Support end-to-end procurement processes within your category.
