Aon is currently recruiting a Regional Practice Leader to join their established Public Sector team. The role can be flexible to work either virtually or hybrid from the Bristol/Birmingham offices.

The primary responsibility is to help grow the Public Sector Practice through development and execution of servicing and sales strategies, thought leadership, and innovation.

The individual will be a key figurehead for Aon in the UK, viewed as an expert in the sector, responsible for building our brand externally and internally, interacting with key clients, prospects, and the insurance market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the leadership and strategic direction of the Public Sector Steering Group.
  • Share ideas, best practices, and relevant information with Public Sector colleagues within Aon.
  • Represent Aon at high-profile sector events, including CIPFA, ALARM, and others.
  • Guide the proposition development and marketing team in creating innovative sector-specific solutions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and client communications.
  • Manage the delivery of the regional Public Sector budget and new business activities.
  • Lead new business tenders and presentations.
  • Support large clients and assist existing service teams, especially during renewal periods.
  • Coordinate with key Public Sector insurers and address technical insurance issues.
  • Ensure colleagues are well-informed and skilled to advise clients.
  • Support client teams in communicating the value of the Public Sector Practice.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and business procedures, including risk management and mandatory training.
