Job summary

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must be fully CCAB qualified with up-to-date CPD and relevant finance experience.
• Experience in government finance and public sector budgeting, forecasting and reporting is preferred.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality monthly financial reports to required timescales with accurate management information.
• Provide financial advice and build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and wider government.
• Lead annual accounts and audit processes, and support audit controls and governance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and in-year adjustments for the entity or programme.
• Review forecasting data, year-to-date actuals, and budget data for explanations and accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining financial controls and audit trails across systems and records.
• Deputise for Head of Finance and lead staff within the finance function.
