Job summary

Sellick Partnership is partnered with a leading professional services organisation to recruit an experienced Legal & Contractual Risk Advisor into a specialist advisory team near Bristol. This role focuses on drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts across public-sector procurements and major projects.

You will advise on risk, liability, indemnities and insurance, working with procurement and legal teams to support government clients negotiating supplier agreements and ensuring

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with approximately 6+ years' PQE.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience within public sector, government, procurement or a regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of contractual risk including liability, indemnities and insurance.
• Experience advising on tenders and supplier contracts.
• Confident negotiating terms with suppliers and their counsel.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts for public-sector and government clients.
• Draft bespoke provisions covering risk allocation, liability, indemnities and insurance.
• Determine contractual and insurance requirements for suppliers and bidders.
• Review tender and procurement documents and advise on contractual risk.
• Negotiate contractual and insurance provisions with suppliers and their legal teams.
• Advise on liability caps, indemnities, waivers and risk-transfer mechanisms.
• Review supplier responses and amendments to contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, commercial, finance, risk and project teams.
• Provide practical advice on contractual risk and supplier compliance.
