Grant Thornton UK is looking for ambitious school leavers to join a fast-tracked programme within Public Sector Audit. Trainees become leaders through structured learning, securing a market-leading salary and a fully-funded professional qualification from day one.

You will gain international exposure, work on high-impact audits for NHS bodies and government departments, and receive hands-on client exposure before qualifying.

Qualifications

• Open to school leavers with a strong interest in public sector audit.
• Willingness to study for a professional qualification.
• Interest in digital tools and AI-enabled analytics.

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of clients, from central government to local authorities and NHS bodies.
• Work with real data sets, select samples, gather evidence, and test it to assess real-world impact.
• Apply professional judgement to assess client policies and estimates.
• Analyse financial statements and review internal controls to understand money, risk and operations.
• Study for a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CFAB, AAT, ACCA, CIMA or DTS).
