Job summary

Scale AI’s Global Public Sector team is hiring Applied AI Engineers to build end-to-end AI applications for public sector clients, including creating datasets, evaluations, and fine-tuning models with global reach.

You will partner with clients to define AI-driven solutions, deploy production-ready applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale AI capabilities while traveling about two weeks per quarter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience with languages like Python, TS/JS, Java, or C++.
• 2+ years applying AI/ML in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with public sector clients to understand challenges and define AI-driven solutions.
• Build and deploy end-to-end AI applications into production using latest AI developments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data annotation specialists, to create training datasets.
• Design and maintain evaluation frameworks to ensure model reliability and effectiveness.
• Travel occasionally (about two weeks per quarter) for customer engagements.
• Contribute to scaling AI capabilities in the public sector through knowledge sharing.
