Performs in a security department providing security for all hospital functions.

Responsibilities
- Uniform and Patrol: Wears issued uniform properly along with all issued equipment. Patrols hospital and grounds, checks locked spaces, observes unusual activity, responds to requests for assistance, escorts visitors, maintains visibility, locks doors, monitors parking lots, dispatches responses, responds to radio calls, completes reports, offers assistance.
- Public Interaction: Interacts positively with the public, providing guidance on security and access issues.
- Incident Response: Responds to altercations, uses defensive resources per policy, applies MOAB and CPI principles, deescalates incidents, works with law enforcement.
- Restraint Procedures: Understands SOPs for restraints and assists medical staff with applications.
- Safety Education: Attends safety programs, responds accurately to safety questions, demonstrates proper body mechanics.
- Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures: Knows proper use of protective gear, ensures safety, completes safety modules, understands emergency and infection control procedures.
- Professional Conduct: Interacts courteously, maintains professionalism, communicates openly, maintains confidentiality, presents neat appearance, displays a positive attitude.
Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or GED required.
Experience: Previous law enforcement, military, dispatching, or security experience preferred.
Licensure: CPI, MOAB, Defensive Resources (Baton, Handcuffing, OC Foam), and Restraint Certification required within 6 months. Valid driver's license required.
Special Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, competent with computer skills, multitasking, dispatching.
