Job Description:

This global law firm is recruiting a Solicitor to join its Competition, EU, and Trade Team (CEUT), based in either its Edinburgh or Glasgow office. The firm is recognised for its sector expertise and its ability to handle complex cross-border legal matters across all major areas of law.

This is an interesting role where you will specialise in public procurement and state aid/subsidy control. The primary objective of the role is to provide expert legal advice to both public and private sector clients to subsidy control/state aid and procurement.

The firm is seeking a candidate with 3 to 5 years’ PQE who is a commercially aware team player with strong research and communication skills. You should be ready to advise on the Public Contracts Regulations and the Procurement Act 2023. Knowledge of UK subsidy control, EU state aid, and trade law is preferred, along with a willingness to develop further in these areas. The ideal candidate will be confident in navigating complex legal areas, client-focused, and enthusiastic about innovation and business development.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the firm during a period of sustained growth in the UK and internationally, particularly across Europe. It also offers the chance to play a key role in the expansion of the CEUT group as it strengthens its presence in both the UK and Europe.

If this position could be of interest, please do not hesitate to contact either Cameron or Teddie for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 17243)
