Public Procurement Lawyer

Job Description

We are seeking a legal professional to join our team, specializing in public sector procurement. The role involves managing RFPs and procurement contracts, providing legal counsel, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Independently manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of RFPs and procurement contracts with third parties and subcontractors for public sector clients.
2. Serve as a subject matter expert during the tender stage, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and best practices.
3. Provide practical and concise legal advice to internal teams throughout the contract lifecycle.
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public procurement laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure current and compliant procurement processes and contracts.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
• Experience in handling public sector procurement, including management of RFPs, gained in-house or within the public/government sector.
• In-depth understanding of public procurement laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear legal advice to diverse stakeholders.
