Job summary

Kingdom Services Group Ltd in Crawley is seeking an Environmental Enforcement Litter Officer to patrol the borough, engage with the public and help keep streets clean and environmentally responsible.

In this public-facing role you may issue Fixed Penalty Notices under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, gather and record evidence, complete reports, and maintain enforcement records while representing Kingdom Services Group Ltd and Crawley Borough Council.

Qualifications

• Basic DBS check required.
• Experience in enforcement, security, or public-facing roles is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling areas across Crawley Borough
• Monitoring and addressing environmental offences, including littering
• Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) under Section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990
• Gathering and recording evidence accurately
• Completing reports and maintaining enforcement records
• Providing information and guidance to members of the public
• Representing both the company and Crawley Borough Council professionally at all times
• Supporting initiatives to improve the local environment and community standards
