Job summary

Service Care Soltuons is working with a well-established and growing law firm in Shropshire that is looking to appoint an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its expanding Family Law team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with experience in public law children matters who is looking to join a supportive firm offering progression, flexibility and the opportunity to make a real difference to clients and families within the local community.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX with practising certificate in England & Wales.
• 2+ years PQE in public law childcare.
• Experience conducting advocacy in the Family Court.
• Familiar with Legal Aid work, billing and compliance requirements.
• Law Society Children Law Accreditation / Children Panel desirable, funding available for accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Public law children and care proceedings.
• Supervision Orders and Emergency Protection Orders.
• Public Law Outline (PLO) pre-proceedings work.
• Advocacy in the Family Court where appropriate.
• Advising and supporting vulnerable clients throughout complex proceedings.
• Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
