Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Public Health Staff Nurses 0 - 19, to join our forward-thinking Dorchester Locality team. We have a part time vacancy of 22.50 hours per week, with the core team hours are 09:00 - 17:00 and no weekend working.
As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, you will participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority Children's Services, Early Years Providers, Schools, voluntary and community sector agencies and other Health Care providers. You will be required to work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19, to provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and supporting children and young people and their families, using evidence-based, early intervention strategies.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and packages of care to people on an allocated caseload; promoting independence and autonomy; working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Provide advice to others regarding the management and care of patients/service users
Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence based practice and outcome measures.
Communicate effectively in verbal and written form in the exchange of complex, sensitive or contentious information in difficult situations using de-escalation, mediation, resolution and professional Duty of Candour.
Support the management of change through innovative thinking, use of negotiating skills, self-awareness and communication.
