This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and maintaining the data systems that support our understanding of local health needs, inequalities, population characteristics and public health priorities.

You will configure templates, pathways and reporting tools, provide technical support to users and work with colleagues and commissioned providers to resolve system and data issues. Previous experience of these specific systems would be an advantage, but experience of maintaining or developing other databases, digital systems or electronic data collection tools is also valuable.
The successful candidate will provide specialised advice on epidemiology, health intelligence, statistics and statistical techniques, health data sets, research, survey design and questionnaire design. Evaluation of public health and place partners service will be a feature of the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for several evaluations.

You should have strong skills in Excel, SQL or comparable data-management tools, together with an understanding of public health information needs and the secure handling of personal and sensitive information. Knowledge of NHS and public health data sources would be beneficial, as would experience of supporting data for needs assessments, surveillance, evaluation or Joint Strategic Needs Assessments.

You will be joining a busy and supportive Public Health Intelligence team, where your work will directly contribute to better intelligence, stronger services and improved outcomes for East Riding residents. In return, you can expect a varied role, opportunities to develop your technical and public health knowledge, flexible working arrangements and the support of experienced colleagues.
