The role is a maternity cover opportunity for 18 months to lead on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Commissioning (across 3 local authorities: Bracknell Forest, Slough and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead) and the Healthy Child Programme for Bracknell Forest. The postholder will have budget and line management responsibilities. The role will focus on SRH commissioning for the first 6 to 12 months of commencement and provides a unique opportunity for further developing specialist public health competencies for anyone aspiring to be on the UKPHR Register.
We want Bracknell Forest to be the one of the healthiest place to live, work and study in, providing all the residents with the opportunities to be happy and healthy. We will achieve this by taking a health-in-all-policies approach with a focus on reducing health inequalities. As part of the Public Health team, you will be central to achieving this vision.
We are a small but ambitious Public Health team that are not only supported within our organisation but by the wider East Berkshire Public Health system. We are extremely agile and receptive to change and team members really feel inspired within their roles to deliver and can clearly see the difference they are making to our local residents.
We are looking for someone with substantial experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Healthy Child Programme commissioning. Prior experience of working on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Healthy Child Programme is essential.
The post would suit someone who is already working in a senior public health related role.
