Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Public Health Practitioner to drive public health agendas, understand population needs and develop strategic plans. The role focuses on healthy place, public health research and evaluation within our Public Health service.

You will lead portfolio work, monitor impact, analyse data, and collaborate with partners to deliver evidence-based interventions for Cambridgeshire’s diverse communities. A Master’s in Public Health is desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant health or scientific discipline; Master's in Public Health desirable.
• Strong knowledge of public health theory and epidemiology.
• Experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating public health programmes.
• Experience in producing systematic evidence reviews.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
• Proactive, analytical and inclusive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high quality range of public health programmes across the portfolio.
• Monitor and evaluate impact of public health programmes and interventions.
• Analyse evidence and data to identify population priorities across Cambridgeshire.
• Develop evidence-based interventions and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners and lead multi-agency work.
