Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Public Health Practitioner to drive initiatives addressing gambling-related harms and contribute to mental wellbeing, resilience, suicide prevention and substance use work streams. The role works within a Building Resilience Team to influence population health outcomes and reduce inequalities in Wiltshire.

You will lead projects, use data to inform decisions and collaborate with diverse partners to strengthen local support pathways while managing competing

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects and using data, evidence and insight to inform decision-making.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners and influence across organisations.
• Strong communication, organisational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support initiatives to prevent and reduce gambling harms across Wiltshire.
• Raise awareness of gambling harms, promote early identification and intervention.
• Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions with partners to improve health outcomes.
