The Public Health team sits within the Council’s Integrated Health and Care directorate, covering a wide range of functions, including health improvement, health protection, and substance misuse. Public Health’s purpose is to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of Lambeth residents.
This apprenticeship combines study alongside day-to-day working within the Public Health team as a Public Health Practitioner Apprentice (Level 6), leading to a degree qualification (Public Health BSc). The successful candidate will gain experience of a range of Public Health functions, support the planning, delivery, monitoring, evaluation, communication, and engagement approaches to public health services, and undertake a BSc Public Health from a pre-selected university.
The candidate does not need existing experience in public health or local authorities but should demonstrate how their knowledge and experience can be applied to the role.
