A health services company in England is seeking a Public Health Midwife Stop Smoking to support and develop the Stop Smoking in Pregnancy service across Staffordshire. This role involves delivering face-to-face and virtual appointments to promote a smokefree household. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and at least 2 years of experience in midwifery, alongside a strong understanding of behaviour change techniques and working with community stakeholders.
Exciting opportunities are available for experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic, and motivated Public Health Midwife Stop Smoking. This role will contribute to the provision of our Stop Smoking in Pregnancy service, delivered across the county of Staffordshire. The main functions of this role are: Be responsible for supporting the Stop Smoking in Pregnancy service to deliver and develop the programme throughout Staffordshire. To delivery face to face and virtual appointments for all those eligible for the Stop Smoking in Pregnancy service, using behaviour change techniques to promote a healthy pregnancy and create a smokefree household. To work with Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisors, Maternity units, Midwives and other stakeholders to increase referrals and reduce health inequalities in pregnant people, household members/partners and post pregnancy. Have the ability to be flexible and work under pressure to achieve service delivery targets. At least a minimum of 2 years experience of working within a hospital and/or community midwifery setting. Have a relevant degree/postgraduate degree in Nursing, or equivalent/Registered Midwife (NMC). Have awareness and understanding of Saving Babies Lives v3, Element 1 Reducing smoking in pregnancy.
